Morocco 2030: six host cities, and the websites that need to be ready.

Morocco co-hosts the 2030 World Cup with Spain and Portugal. For hotels, restaurants, tourism and property brands, the preparation starts online.
In 2030 the World Cup comes to Morocco for the first time, shared with Spain and Portugal. Six Moroccan cities are set to host matches: Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech, Agadir and Fès.
The centrepiece is the Grand Stade Hassan II, near Casablanca. Designed by Populous with Oualalou + Choi for around 115,000 spectators, it is due to be completed in 2028 and is a candidate to host the final. Its roof takes its cue from the moussem, the great tented gatherings of Moroccan festivals.
The first visit happens on a screen
Long before a supporter lands in Casablanca or Tangier, they will have compared hotels, read menus, checked transport and booked experiences: mostly on a phone, often in a language other than Arabic or French. Every business that wants a share of those visits competes on the web first.
What to build before 2030
- Pages written for each audience, in their language, not machine-translated copies.
- Mobile performance that holds up on slow and crowded networks.
- Booking, quotes and WhatsApp contact that work in a few taps.
- Local search done properly: city pages, a complete Google Business Profile, structured data.
- A content plan for the build-up, so the site is already trusted when demand peaks.
Why start now
Stadiums, roads and rail are being built years ahead because they have to be. A digital presence is no different: search rankings, reviews and reputation take time to compound. A website launched in 2029 starts the race late.
The stadiums will be ready on time. The question is whether the brands around them will be.
Noor Studio works with hospitality, real estate and lifestyle brands across Morocco. If 2030 is part of your plan, the best time to prepare your digital presence is before everyone else does.
